I was first diagnosed with DCIS in 2009, which following a full maectomy showed a small invasion. 6 weeks ago I had a small lump removed from the skin only to find the cancer had returned. Following my original maectomy I had a breast reconstruction using LD flap and now I’m worried as I’m about to start a three week course of radiotherapy as they’ve now removed all the cancer. I’ve also been gene tested and found to be positive so they’ve advised a mastectomy in the other breat and ovaries. Very scared and anxious at the moment so it would be great to hear from anyone whose had similar experiences
