Floating biopsy sample

I had a mammogram recall and the doctor said they felt the breast tissue looked slightly pulled or distorted (no lump or mass seen I think). The ultrasound didn’t seem to give any more useful information so they did a biopsy of the distorted area as she wasn’t sure what was going on.

when she put the tissue samples into the liquid she commented that they floated, which she said was a good thing.
has anyone else heard this? I’m hoping it means it’s benign….
I’ve been googling ‘distortion’ seen on a mammogram and I think it’s a possible marker for lobular cancer, so naturally feeling a bit scared.

Hi , I’ve read about floating samples being good news , if you Google it you will find a scientific explanation for this .I hope you get a positive outcome , sometimes it takes a number of investigations to work out what’s going on . it’s really a scary process . Best wishes Jill .
