Hello all, I have been reading all of your journeys and words of encouragement, you are all truly amazing and have got me through the last few days x :pink_heart::pink_heart::pink_heart::pink_heart::pink_heart:

I am 43 2 older girls one living with partner one at uni, I went to the docs in November 25 with a small lump in my left breast that I found in my sleep! I have recently lost quite a bit of weight and seem to be finding lumpy bits everywhere so the list I took to the docs was quite long and she was not very keen to send me for a follow up but luckily she did as on the 18th December I went for a lumpectomy and on the 5th Jan I was told that it was IDC HR PR + HER2 - luckily very small at 3.5mm but they want to go back in and complete a WLE with SNB so assuming they didn’t get clear margins? :cry: X had an MRI on Thursday and have to go back on 19th for results :face_with_peeking_eye: just waiting on testing of all the other lumps and bumps I have found… has anyone been offered a PET scan? Or asked for one?

We are so so sorry to hear this. It must be such a worrying time for you, and must be so difficult to content with.

I would really recommend reaching out to our nurses if you are feeling overwhelmed, or if you have any questions. Sometimes it can just be helpful to talk things through. You can reach them on our free helpline 0808 800 6000, and you can call them as many times as you want or need.

I truly hope you are able to get some answers from our community soon, and that you are able to find support and comfort in the meantime.

I can’t say about the margins, are you able to call your team and let them know you need more info on what’s happened? Has the second surgery been booked? X

I have an appointment on Monday so hopefully will find out more then…. :crossed_fingers: the waiting is the hardest isnt it…. the anxiety is real :frowning:

I’m with you! I’m also waiting on my next appointment, trying really hard to distract myself in the meantime! You don’t have much longer to wait, I hope you get some respite in the week :crossed_fingers: xx
