Hi,
I found a lump on Tuesday evening on the underside of my left breast, it’s hard but very moveable and about the size of a pea. I went to the GP Wednesday who has done a 2 week referral, she looked me in the eye and said ‘I don’t think for a second this is cancer but we have to refer any changes’ I really want to believe her but it’s not easy
on top of finding the lump I have just become a mum for the first time after 3 years of trying and 3 miscarriages, our rainbow baby only arrived 5 weeks ago and now I’m terrified of what will happen.
Im exhausted with night feeds, still recovering from a C section, and anxiety has taken away my appetite. I feel at my wits end
thank you for reading my long post
xx
Welcome to the forum . So sorry you are having to deal with this worry as well as a tiny baby . The vast majority of breast changes and lumps are not cancer particularly when you are young .It doesn’t sound like your GP is worried but she would be negligent not to refer you to make sure as she can’t see exactly what’s going on without the help of an ultrasound or mammogram .Hopefully you will get an appointment soon to put your mind at rest
Update:
just putting a quick update on here in case anyone finds themselves in a similar situation. I went back today for a second ultrasound as a month has passed. The doctor says she’s convinced it’s a fibroadenoma and did a biopsy so she could confirm this and sign me off back to the GP.
I asked her outright if she thought it might be cancer and she said she wasn’t worried at all so I’m a lot more positive than I was before.
I should get the results back in 10 days
