Found a Lump (sigh)

Hi My name is binki, I’m new to the forum. My brief story. on Thursday 12Th May. i found a small lump in my right breast after a shower. i went to see my GP the next day, after a examination, he said he could feel the lump, and has re-fared me to the breast clinic. my appointment is for the 26Th May. i had no idea what i would be in for at the clinic. i have been reading with interest, all the posts of worried people, and all the wonderful reply s and advice and most of all reassuring Comments the positivity on here amazes me i now feel OK about my apportionment knowing that all you have been through this and far worse. i feel privileged to be apart of this site. so in stead of making my self sick with worry.i will look at Tomorrow is a brand new day, greet it with love and watch it unfold and know that i am not alone (smiling) x

Hi Binki, I am in very much the same position as you, I found a lump a few weeks ago which was confirmed by my doctor, I had my mammogram last monday and i go to the breast clinic this wednesday, very scared and the waiting hes been very hard but will finally (hopefully) find out what it is soon. I think this forum is amazing as well, the people are so inspiring. Good luck with your appointment and hopefully we will both be having good news soon xx

Hi Binki

Welcome to this site. I’m glad you went and saw your GP quickly and that you have been referred to a breast clinic. I’m sure the lump could be one of many things, including something innocent like a cyst, but I just wanted to say that if you do get some bad news, I’m sure your wonderful, positive attitude will help you get through the next few months. I was diagnosed on 28th May last year (the date will forever be etched in my mind) but I have now come out the other end, and have made some totally amazing people along the way.

Will be thinking of you on 26th May - please come back and let us know how you get on.

Sending you cyber-hugs

Hi binki and just06

Welcome to the forums, I hope you find them a great source of information and support.

You may find it helpful to read the BCC booklet ‘referral to a breast clinic’ It gives information about what to expect at the clinic and details of the different tests you may have. To order a copy or read this on line just follow this link:-
