Hi everyone. I am 23, and I have found a lump in my left breast. It is just at the top of my breast and feels close to my chest wall. It is about 1cm and I can move it about a bit but not lift it as it is so close to my chest.
I have been checked by the nurse twice who doesn’t think it’s anything to worry about, but is referring me to the breast clinic for peace of mid.
I am terrified, I don’t have very big breasts so generally can feel everything but there is not a lump in my right one like it. I have a two year old daughter and I am so scared its going to be bad news.

Dear Ktmxkatie, It is scary when you find a lump but you have done exactly the right thing by having it checked out. All lumps should be taken seriously but this does NOT mean that it is anything nasty.
I had Bc in my 30s and recently my daughter found a lump. She did as you did and had it checked out. I went with her to the hospital. The doctor examined her, she had an ultrasound scan ( just like you have when you are having a baby scan) and because of her family history they did a needle biopsy. The results came back clear. It was just notmal breast tissue even although it felt like a lump.
Let us know how you get on. The waiting for appointments and then results is awful we know. But no matter what transpires we will be aorund to help you. Really wishing that all is well for you too. Hi Ktmxkatie. I’m in pretty much the same position that you are right now - I’m 26, and I’m waiting for an appointment at the breast care clinic. Try not to worry yourself over it - easier said than done, I know! At the minute I’m just telling myself that no matter how much worrying I do, the outcome isn’t going to be any different. I’d rather wait for my appointment with a glass of wine in hand and a box of chocolates by my side than sit there fretting about what might be. So that’s what I’m going to do!
