Freaking Out Slightly!

Have I got breast cancer? Appointments and waiting for test results

I found a lump but it’s between my breasts and I would say more on the breast bone. I’ve got big boobs and when lying down like most of us they flop to the side.  I was doing a check and when I push my right boob towards the middle that’s when I feel the lump on the left! Been to doctor and referred to breast clinic with an appointment in under 2 weeks (I’m trying to decide if they are just really efficient or if it’s urgent which is freaking me out slightly).  

 

The not knowing is a nightmare but first appointment on 24th then I’ve a second on 27th. Both are nighttime appointments 6.40pm then 6pm.  I suppose it’s get on with things as normal then wait and see.

Hi Elaine,
Don’t worry about the speed of the appointment, that is normal practice & what should happen for any breast change that needs to be investigated.
By far the most common outcome is that it turns out to be nothing serious.
You’ve done all you need to for now, so it can help with the wait to carry on as normal, keep busy & to avoid goigling your symptoms, as this only generates anxiety for no good reason.
Chances are all’s well, it usually is & IF on the off chance it is bc, then the sooner it gets dealt witht the better.
