Ringing me every night throughout my treatment to check up on me.

My best friend made me a chemo prep bag, filled with all sorts of stuff he’d researched might be useful. It was really well thought out, presented and everything possible was my favourite purple colour :purple_heart:

Also scheduling in a time to talk every week so that I could just vent and share whatever was going on.

My dear friend deliverd me a homemade meal every 3 weeks throughout chemo and herceptin. She went miles out her way to drop off delicious meals at a time I could not be bothered to cook. It meant the world to me, it was kind and comforting. I never forget she did that at a time as was pretty shattered and fed up.

One friend has:

  • Willingly taken me to most of my appointments, even though it is a very early start, a long drive and a full day at hospital…
  • Taken me away for multiple weekends; relaxation, TV and books when I’m not up to much, beach or countryside walks when I have more energy…
  • Listened without judging and without “trying to make things better”…
  • Made me brownies, blondies and various other treats!

I couldn’t ask for a better friend x

Food orientated again …

My friend (who has a difficult adult son with autism and Aspergers, and with multiple health issues herself) drove nearly an hour to me to deliver 4 large tubs of various salads.

The time and trouble she went to, chopping so many ingredients to save me the effort when I couldn’t be bothered and didn’t have the strength, was a sign of true, unselfish friendship. Thanks, Sue :innocent: :hugs:
