Front-fastening bras

I am getting through neo-adjuvant chemo with an op probably sometime in early autumn.  I notice that it is recommended that you wear front-opening “sleep type” (ie soft) bras following surgery.  I notice the prices for such bras on line and in shops are rather steep.  Has anyone got recommendations for where else to try?

Hi Penny, not very helpfully I found one in my funny little high street lingerie shop…it was a lot cheaper than mainstream and then I found it was really uncomfortable …if you an possibly do it get a quality one - you deserve it! Don’t forget we get VAT off…

Hi Penny,

Have you tried the soft fabric ones that you pull over your head or step into. They are stretchy too.  Here is a link to one on Amazon:

I got mine from Asda though.  I think they were JML.

Take care

I was given this present from my BCN the day after my mastectomy.

It is the same as the Amoena Francis bra which is available for £22 from Amoena and other sites such as The Bra Clinic (some nice bargains in their sales section).

Another good site is called softlysoftly-lingerie.co.uk.  Unfortunately I cannot get onto the website tonight.  There were some good bargains on that site when I was browsing on Wednesday.

Perhaps your BCN may give you a front fastening bra after your operation.
