Fybrocystic breast

Hi. Went to see doc as i had a sore left breast and a lump on the underside. When she asked if it felt like inflammation she was spot on and I was give a weeks course of antibiotics. Told to come back after a week and as there wasn’t really any changes I have been referred to the breast clinic. Lump is roughly 5cm long by about 2.5cm it goes from under my nipple then heads downward towards my underarm. Its is flat bottomed (I think) and rounded on the top. I have been to the clinic before quite a few years before when my fybrocystic condition was diagnosed.
My mother had a small cancerous lump removed 2 years ago and my aunt had a mastectomy and most of lymph glands removed, with other breast removed as precaution. She now has various secondaries.
I am trying to be sensible but am really worried as I am not really able to tell anyone about this just now.
If you pardon the pun I was just really needing to get this off my chest!

Hi Jelly

Your pun is hereby pardoned. Seriously though you must be very worried but try to take some time out while you are waiting for a bit of pampering. Good luck with your appointment and we are all here to chat to in the meantime. The waiting is hard we all know that. Let us know when your appointment is.

I know it’s hard not to worry - especially if there is a family history - hopefully you will be given the all clear. We will be here to support you tho - come in for a rant or a question whenever you need to.

Thanks for the help and advice. This site is really great especially the Dew Drop Inn. A slight touch of madness in the DDI makes me fell right at home. Absolutely brilliant.
