Getting very anxious.....

Hello there… My name is deb, I’m 53 and I was diagnosed last week with grade 3 invasive ductal carcinoma measuring 4cm x 3cm on ultra sound!  Went yesterday 15/12/15 to see the oncologist, he added that I was HER-2 positive also and by palpitation of the very prominent tumour it was now measuring 6cm x4cm… I am aware that this type of cancer is very aggressive and I have not got my chemo assessment until 8jan so nearly 3weeks wait… I’m concerned that this delay is going to not give me the best possible chances to half this invasion in my body?? Does anyone have any similar situations. I feel as if I’ve lost all control of my problem… Kindest regards Deb xx

Hi Deb my tumour was 7cm by 5cm again Her2 + I was diagnosed start of October and started chemo 9th Nov around 4 weeks later. i found it after losing weight and it was very prominent and close to then skin. Although HER2 is aggressive they assured me it wouldnt grow too much in that time and I had another scan a day before chemo which confirmed this it hadnt grown by any amount they could see (the scan wasnt to check this but something else) by aggressive they mean quickly growing but please rest assured if they thought you needed to start sooner they would and could do this . Please try not to worry its easier said than done I know x
