Going through am inflammatory breast cancer scare

Hi everyone!

After coming here last month for an inverted nipple cancer scare (I was thankfully ok), I am back here with an IBC scare. I have a round rash (about 5-6 cm in diameter that appeared on my left breast on Monday. (I noticed it on Monday. It may have appeared on the weekend). It looks like a bug bite with a little white circle in the middle. I have no other symptoms (inflammation, tenderness, lump under armpit) I just went to see my doctor and he thinks it is probably a bite. He has asked me to apply Betamethasone cream (eczema cream) twice a day. He is not taking any chances and he will biopsy it on Monday. Then it will take 2 weeks for results.

I had  a clean mammogram (I realize that mammograms most likely do not detect IBC) and a clean breast MRI a month ago.

I am completely freaked out. If this was on my leg, I wouldn’t have given it a second thought. I also have health anxiety which is not helping. Any words of comfort would be helpful.

Thanks in advance.
