Going to breast clinic In llandough what to expect

Hi I’m going to the breast clinic in llandough after being referred by my doctor and was wondering what to expect . I never received a letter re an appointment they rang me so I have no idea what happens at one of those I was told to expect a mammogram and a biopsy though .

Hi mummy02,

I think your experience will entirely depend on your age & symptoms. I’m 31 in the uk and had a lump in the outer edge of my left Breast. I was called through to the u/s room where they did a quick physical exam followed by the u/s and a core biopsy. They did the symptomatic Breast first covering the lump & then the rest of the Breast & up into the armpit. They then did a quick scan of the other Breast. The core biopsy didn’t hurt. They numbed the area waited a minute or so then took the samples (they took 3 from me). And it just feels like being prodded with like a pen or something. Due to my age I was advised that a mammogram would not be necessary.
