Had my first injection of C-GSF and it didn’t hurt… I am the big girl! hehe It feels like someone is pinching me right now but it didn’t hurt when they gave it to me… and is so much better than going to the hospital and getting new cannula everyday. Still jittery today on day 5 after 2nd chemo… it’s hard to write or type, etc. Nerves must be a wreck…do any of u feel jittery?
I feel sore under my armpits… doh! My neck and shoulders… wow… but it is soooooo much better than spending almost a week in the hospital isn’t it! Hope u feel better too… are u taking the one jab of nuelasta or the seven of I can’t remember the letters…g something?
Just had to butt in and tell you that i managed to do the injections myself!! I was so proud of myself! First two times with a nurse present, but last week did it on my own at home. Had my husband there for moral support but he couldn’t look! This was to save me waiting in several days in a row for the district nurse. It doesn’t hurt as the needle goes in, just as you squeeze the plunger. I am really not good with needles generally but in summer it was do it or potentially miss a holiday, so i did it! Only side effects have been lower back pain and some in limbs.
Yesterday my blood count got flagged up as abnormal - it was 37!!
All the best to you
