Gout?

Since starting herceptin I have had the most painful foot. Thought it was a bunion but my bunion suffering friend assured me it wasn’t I mentioned it to nurse and she said it looked like gout. I though she was kidding me and mentioned it to Doctor at Occi Health on my return to work appointment. He said it was more than likely as the chemo may have triggered it has anyone else heard of this??I don’t want gout it is so unglamorous. Everyone laughs when someone has gout. Old men who drink and have red noses have gout!! Still have very few eyebrows a covering of very dodgy fuzz on my head four eyelashes overweight and maybe gout. Don’t feel like a woman any more I feel like a thing an alien a bloated ugly when I look in the mirror I still do a double take. It is not me. Will I ever be me again. Tomorrow I may feel ok and I will be grateful that am alive but just now at 0.15 am this is how I feel. night night anyone unlucky enough to be readin g thisl love Eileen.

hi there Eileen,
firstly, it is not gout, it is metabolic arthritis … sounds much better
and yes, you will be you again, but a new improved you. Inside you are still the you you always were and always will be… and soon your hair will grow back beautifully, your skin will improve and the metabolic arthritis will be gone. By the way, metabolic arthritis is very treatable, go see your doctor!
hope the new day has lifted your spirits
hugs
