grading and staging! im confused!

Hi, when i was dx i was told that i had a low grade tumor but was not told what stage it was. i was told that tumor was majority grade 1 with a couple of grade 2 cells on it, therefor grade 2 but really isnt it grade 1?? tumor was only 9mm no lymph node involvement and no sign of spread so is this stage 1? i dont get it! x
