hi can anyone give me some advise on an endoscopy procedure. i’ve got to have one next wednesday as i have cysts on the ovaries and on the endrometrium.
I’m really worried about it and have been told that the doc who reviewes the scans said the wall on the cysts on the endrometrium was thin don’t know what this means can anyone advise.
also can they tell from a scan if cysts are worrying or not?
im on tamoxifen and think all this is a side effect from it.

i thought it was an endoscopy but its a hyterscopy i think i;ve spelt it right. I’m having the procedure done on wednesday has anyone else had one done before and what should i expect. I’m quite scared and worried about it

Yes had a few last year. Not very ladylike, legs in stirrups, and metal thing inserted to open cervex and access womb lining, the endometrium, at which point they can have a look with some other med. impliment : ( I had biopsy first time, second time the next doc. took it upon himself to do a D&C without any warning, this is not the norm, I was just unlucky. It is not very nice but worth having it done for peace of mind. Sorry if I have not been very clear Sukes, try not to worry and do ask questions when you do go. Take care Alice.
HYSTEROSCOPY… If you are very worried Sukes you can have A GA you don’t have to be a martyr, I have had one with and one without not to bad awake , but be prepared with PAD they flush you and then when you stand up whoosh. I found it more embaraasing than anything… Beam me up Scotty!!! Either way you will be ok. To many people have died through embarrassment don’t forget.

well i had it awake and i thought i was having another baby. The pain was like contractions and serious period pains OMG forgot what that felt like. I also didn’t like the noise lots of screwing and unscrewing of claps which made me think what are they doing down there. The nurse was nice as she kept me distracted but still uncomfortable. The doc said what he see’s is nothing unusuall and is due to tomaxifen. They also took a biopsy and will let me know in two weeks
