I am 2 weeks post left breast mastectomy and sentinel node biopsy and last week developed a Haematoma 
my BCN has been keeping an eye on it but on Friday it was decided that I would have an emergency operation tomorrow to deal with it as its almost the size of my removed boob!
I went for a nice long slow walk about 8 days after my operation and am paranoid that I caused it and keep wishing I could turn back the clock. The BCN’s said it could of been the drain removal, it could of been pressure from my bra (which I haven’t worn since as cant bear it) and told me not to beat myself up about it but I cant help it. I was doing so well, not in any pain, feeling really strong and positive before this happened.
I am more nervous about this operation than the mastectomy, even though I have been told, its fairly quick and they shouldn’t have to reopen my scar fully. Has anyone been in this position and how did you feel after - Did it delay recovery ?
