I did not like my wig it felt awful so I bought a cap that you put on under a scarf to stop the flat head look. Then I bought an elastic hairband (Claires, not sure if they still have them) AS my hair began to fall out I cut a length off it holding it tightly as I cut it off. I then laid the hair between two pieces of paper, spread evenly and sewed down one edge about an inch in. do a few rows then gently rip the paper away and sew again onto the elastic. all this takes minutes. you then put the band on and you have a fringe of your own hair, with the cap and fringe place a scarf over and it will look good and it’s your own hair. make two if you have enough hair, it sounds complicated but it isn’t.
