hair growing back while still on fec

hi im 28 and have had 5 cycles of chemo 3 fec then 1 taxotere then another fec. I have 3 more cycles of fec left and my hair has started to grow back. its only white fuzz buts its there. has anybody else have this happen? I cant find anybody whos hair has started to grow back while still on fec. Im really excited that its growing but scared that its just gonna fall out again

Hiya - mine all started coming out two weeks to the day after first FEC, shaved it all of a day or two after second, and it immediately began to grow again… but very very patchily, so it would NOT have been a good look if I’d tried to leave it on! Just had first TAX, so waiting to see if the regrowth (which is about 3 or 4mm long) will all fall out, taking my eyebrows and lashes with it…

hi i shaved all mine off after 2nd fec. started to lose brows and lashes few weeks ago ive still got some but not a lot. I really hope it keeps growing it feels so good just 2 see these little white hairs. good luck with the tax. i refused to have it again after the first one. that stuff is evil. i suffered bad with it

Hello Ladies, my hair also fell out about a fortnight after first fec, but my eyelashes and eyebrows remained until tax. For some strange reason my lashes and brows dissapeared and my hair started to grow, and continued through and beyond tax. It did take about 3months for eyelashes and brows to return after finishing treatment. I’m now nearly at the point when I shall have my first haircut. I used to have dark blonde hair but sadly it came back a lovely shade of brillo soap pad grey!!! and curly!! Bring on the bleach and the straighteners… Good luck girls with your treatments, Ellie

I had 6 x FEC and my hair started to grow back before the last one. Very fine and white but it was there. Finished on 9th December and I now have quite a thick head of hair although it’s still very short. Just found out I have to have 4 x TAX next so I will lose it all again soon but hey ho, at least I know it will come back again.

My hair started to frow back FEC 5. Have now had 6 weekly tax, have another 8 - 12 to go. Randomly my hair is still here but my eyebrows are wandering off!
Hope I don’t lose my hair, only washing it once a week with baby shampoo and patting it dry. It will be lovely to go hatless, its too cold to go without yet

i had FEC and my hair started to grow back at number 4. Very satisfying having lovely fluffy hair!

Mine started to come back just before FEC5. It didn’t ever drop out but growth slowed each time I had chemo. I finished chemo about 6/7 weeks ago and it is about an inch long now. I’ve had it clipped very slightly once. It’s thick at the sides but thin on top. Nice!
