Gosh so exciteD. I posted twice
hey how are you doing? we ‘chatted’ a while ago when we were talking about meeting up at manchester fort! i have not been on for a while, long story starting with tablets ending up in going through a divorce!!
I am using minoxidil serum twice a day, Revita growth stimulating shampoo and take silica, pro amino acids and vit b complex with magnesium. It’s growing well!
Tina, where do you get all your hait growth stuff from?
Hi all im using hair food TCB got it from chemist in L/POOL took it to my onc to make sure it was ok to use no problem he said had all the right ingrediants in seems to working for me Started off with TCB SCALP CONDITIONER my hair is now 1 inch long and im 5 weeks past my last chemo check internet you may be able to order it from there
I went on the DS Laboratories website for a good read first and then ordered the items from feelunique.com. The supplements came from GNC in town, spoke to their manager who knew a lot about hairgrowth etc. My BCN checked it was ok to take. My hair at the back is 9cm long, 2.5cm at the top. I did wear the cold cap, most of it fell out, apart from a few tuffs. The texture of the regrowth is different to my old hair. (Chemo fec/tax last one 8.7.)
Oh god, how slow my hair is growing…
My last chemo was April 1st and mine is 1.5-2 inches long…
What am i going to do? HELP!
Give your hair some food nothing ventured nothing gained they say
.
Have you tried eyebrow pencil swear by mine
Hi xwelcomex - early days yet BUT to give you some hope when my lashes and brows did start to come back they came back VERY fast prob 4-5 weeks after chemo. Lashes are now better than ever been (last chemo 6th March). Head hair grew back slowly but steadily until the last 4 weeks and it is now flying in. Have you been on a Look Good, Feel Better Workshop - they are great. Google for more details.
Incidentally I took Hair, nail and skin Supplement (Tesco’s own) and massaged head daily.
Good Luck Marli.

Read on a website over the weekend that tilting your head upside down a couple of times a day for 20-30 seconds increases blood flow to the follicles which encourages growth… Won’t tell you what my boys were thinking when they watched, me head between my knees, counting out!!

The eyelash-brow growth was odd, there was nothing for weeks and weeks after the last Chemo (8/7) and then just two weeks ago they started really sprouting and are almost back to normal now. I use the Rommel lash accelerator now, it makes them look at bit longer. X
hello all,
In respect of head hair I used something I think was called Alpecin from the chemists (you can find it in Boots with the shampoos) which has caffeine in it and I really think it mase a difference to my hair growth. I used it once a week until the bottle was finished, didn’t bother with another bottle as my hair was a reasonable length by then.
Good luck
Mo x
I used umberto giannini overnight moisturiser on my scalp all through chemo. I had a lovely shiny scalp that looked like it had been pledge polished but when the hair started to come back it came back really thick and I continued to use it for a few months after the hair started growing in. I still have an odd night where I slap it through the hair. I believe it was through this product and costs less than £2 in Boots. It makes sense when you think you would moisturise your face - so why not the head! Give it a whirl.
