Hair Growth on the T part of Fec-T

Hi All

 

Just wondering if those ladies on (or have had) Fec-t can advise. The Oncologist mentioned yesterday that when I start the T pasrt of Fec-t (I am only one cycle in on the Fec bit) that you start to get some hair growth back - have any of you ladies experienced this - don’t wnt to get my hopes up too much but it would be good to know

Hi, I think every one has different side effects. For me  my head hair fell out on fec then started to grow back after first tax but then I lost all the hair everywhere else on my body including eye brows and eye lashes, I looked like uncle fester lol. Also lost finger and toe nails ?. Hope Tax is kind to you Xx

I have heard that painting your nails black or any really dark colour whilst having tax can help to protect the nails. I suppose it’s worth a go :relaxed:. I’ve also heard something about ice mits? . I didn’t know about the dark nail varnish when I went through chemo and I think ice mits are quite recent x

Hi shocked & Angel Sam

I have just completed 1st FEC then will start T herceptin and pertuzamab and am not looking forward to the uncle fester look. I tried cold cap but thinking of giving it a miss next time. Felt very spaced out afterwards.

I’ve not heard of hairgrowth on T but be good to know if it does. Have my nails done with acrylic, usually black, so hope that helps xx.
