Having undergone mastectomy, snb and then axillary clearance, 3xEC and 1xTax (which was horrendous, 2 more to go 
I think I have good news!! I seem to have some sort of “fluff” growing back on my bald bonce. I didn’t shave my whispy bits of Einstein hair as OH calls it but there is definitely something going on !! I thought Tax also gave you hairloss??
I think it depends on the strength and how often with tax (but don’t quote me on that).
I had Paclitaxol and had it every 2 weeks but had a large 3 hour bag each time, so had horrendous side effects most of the time. It was also the Tax that caused me to lose my eyebrows and eyelashes. The AC I had before had no impression on them. My husband’s secretary had the same at the same as me but had a small 1 hour bag every week and her hair started to grow back whilst she was still having treatment.
Mine started to grow as soon within a month of chemo finishing and now have full head (last chemo in March last year, so thankfully becoming a distant memory.
As with all treatment for BC there seems to be no consistency with side effects.
My hair started growing back when I switched from EC to Tax - a strange kind of white fluff - very patchy! I finished Tax at the end of November and didn’t like what my hair was doing so I shaved my head for the last time on January 1st 2012 and I now have a good covering of hair which is about an inch long and getting thicker every day.
Good luck with your next two tax - they had to reduce the dosage with me because of my reactions to it.

I had 3 TAC then 3 FEC. I shaved it all off 2 weeks after my first chemo. I am now nearly 3 weeks post chemo and have 5mm of hair all over! I think it started growing back before my last FEC, very bizarre - there appears to be no rhyme or reason!
I’ve had 5 out of 6 of my FECs and still have hair, granted it’s much thinner. The annoying thing is I was told I was sure to lose it so had it shaved pre chemo to a number 2! My onc and breast nurse were shocked when I took my wig off to show them the other day. Onc says I’m made of strong stuff!
It’s a funny old business this hair isn’t it. I’ve only had 2FEC so far (number 3 tomorrow), and have taken my hair done to the lowest setting on the clippers. But I am amazed by how much hair I still have, a tad thinner, but apart from a few patches where I think it rubs off in bed and where my glasses sit, I’ve got way more than I expected. I keep expecting to wake up and find it all gone, but it’s hanging on.

I lost all hair on EC within first cycle and then grew back. I lost most very thin on paclitaxol but been on platinum 18 weeks mow and still thin. Am worried that as I am about to start capecitabine now hair is not going to get thick.
How long did hair take to come back after paclitaxol as eyebrows back but not many eyelashes.
