Hi all
I’m 34 and had my last dose of 6 rounds of FEC-T (for early breast cancer with high oncotype) just over three weeks ago. Since the three Taxotere rounds started half way through, have seen considerable hair growth (yay!). Hair is now about an inch long and v fluffy.
Last few days it’s started to drop out and I wondered if anybody else had experienced similar?
I’m now wondering if this is just the initial ‘baby hair’ growth, and if I should expect to go bald again before ‘real’ hair starts to appear?!
Hi, don’t think I can help much, but congrats on your successful treatment. I had EC, but the T was too harsh for me to tolerate. I would think it’s that which has thinned your hair again. Sounds great, though. Lucky you to have so much hair while still having chemo! ? My hair started to grow back slowly during radiotherapy. Fluffy duck down, then tight springy curls which were great. Called the chemo frizz! ? . These disappeared after second trim. I’m on Letrozole and Palbociclib so hair ok, but thinner than it was. Keeping it short ( boo hoo) on advice of hairdresser so it’s not stressed too much. Quite pleased when my lady hair came back! X
