Hi, I had my final chemotherapy on 16th September I have been cold capping and although had a lot of shedding I retained a lot of my hair all be in a lot thinner now. My shedding stopped about 2 weeks after my final chemo I then had surgery 3 weeks after my final chemo. About a week after my surgery the shedding has started again and does not seem to be stopping! Did anyone else find that surgery re triggered hair loss? Any hints or tips to help? Thanks
What chemo did you have ? I keep having tiny bits of hope i won’t be full hair loss on EC and docetaxol. Thank you
I had 12 weeks of weekly paclitaxel along with 4 cycles of Carboplatin and followed by 4 cycles of EC. I barely lost any until I moved to EC then had a lot of shed but still retained a lot of hair I don’t wear a wig only a topper but I’m just worried post surgery the shedding has returned.
Hi @kmarie26 i hope you don’t mind me messaging I’ve read your comment from a while back. I think I am on similar treatment to what you had 12 weeks PC and then 4 weeks EC. Along with immunotherapy every 3 weeks. I haven’t gone for the cold cap as I suffer with migraines but was wondering if you did or not, just with you saying you didn’t have that much hair loss. Just trying to judge what I want to do as in shave or just hang fire. Thank you. X
Hi, yes I did go for the cold cap that’s why I think I didn’t loose as much. I definitely saw an increase in shedding when I switched to EC, if I wasn’t cold Capping I think I would have lost it all on EC to be honest. Xx

Thank you. I’ve had two treatments so far on PC and not lost anything. I’ll just wait until I do start losing then make the decision. Hoping my ginger holds strong a few more weeks!
