New to this,
Speaking to my breast care nurse who said my hair might come back in on taxotere - due to get 3 lots beginning Monday. Have had 4 lots of FEC and hair out but still fuzzy if I let it grow a day or so. Just wondering whether to just leave it to grow - but don’t want it coming out again - if so will wait til finished.
Not minding my bald head - wig too hot, prefer my hat, but will be more than happy to have my own hair again!

I finished my Tax 3 weeks ago and my hair started growing back after my second Tax, along with my other body hair. Hope this helps !
Thanks, every little helps…! My hair is coming in quite nicely. One week down on this kak… Fine until day 5 then hit the wall with bony pain, everything it felt like. Anyway, today a new day. Thanks again
I had 3 x FEC followed by 3 x Taxotere.
My hair fell out after the first FEC but then started to grow back after the second Taxotere. It carried on growing - very slowly - and didn’t fall out again.

hi, I’m 5th day post second tax and have been thinking that mine lloks a bit like its thinking about sprouting but not sure - saying that my eyebrows have now decided to think about going…oh what fun…mary x
About the eyebrows - my bcn had said with the tax that they often come out as the new ones come in. So might not be long. I have a nice 3mm or so fuzz with good coverage so far on head and have been hanging onto eyebrows and lashes by my teeth!

I only had taxotere x 6, my hair fell out but slightly started coming back before the 6th one. I finished in October.
Now I have enough head hair to need a slight trim (very slight just to style it a bit), have leg and pubic hair too but no hair underarms, eyebrows or eyelashes still.

I had 4 x AC followed by 4 x Tax. My hair gave up very quickly on the AC but started to grow after yhe second Tax. That was back in February. It has grown surely but very slowly ever since. It seems to be growing very unevenly and have had bits trimmed to try and give it an even look.
I lost my eyelashes and eyebrows on the Tax but they have come back in now and are nearly normal. One thing I did find was that having plucked my eyebrows for as long as I can remember I was very unsure how to reshape them from scratch. I decided to bite the bullet and just let them grow bushy and then treated myself to a visit to a salon to let a professional do it.

good idea about the eyebrows. I seem to have some growing but others falling out - on the same eyebrow - very strange.
Hair on top of head still going strong - in the sun its got the slight reddish tinge that my hair had - so still hoping…

I’ve had 3 Tax and didn’t loose all my hair but still had to have it shaved as not enough for a hair style. Still have all eyebrows and lashes. Unlike everybody else who has FEC before TAX I’m the other way round, still have 3 FEC to do… now I’m wondering if everything will just fall off? oh well, will just have to wait and see.

with FEC it seems pretty definite that hair will come out in most places. Its the Epirubicin that does it. Tis fine though not shaving legs, and underarms! One small silver lining in all of this…

Lost most but not all of my lovely hair on FEC. Had to shave rest of head as looked like bobby Charlton. Didnt lose any eyebrows or lashes until tax and now have lost all eyelashes and most of eyebrows. I am going to see beautician tomorrow to see if she can thread whats left. I had never plucked mine in my life, i actually quite liked them they were not too thin and not too thick. Legs and arms gone completely - good riddance. underarms and lady hair - still have quite a bit downstairs. Underarms have shaved with electric but left for quite a while and it wasnt going to come out - industrial strength hair i think. did stop growing though.
I had my last tax last week and waiting with baited breath for the first noticeable shoots, although in a good like can see a thin halo of white round my head.

i lost most of my hair on the 1st cycle of FEC after the 3rd week it came out in handfulls so i strimmed the lot off then used a razor tho get rid of the spikey bits however by the second FEC the hair was starting to grow back again go to the velco stage at mo lol eye lashes and arms/leg hair still here… lower region half n half …me thinks i’m odd !!! ha ha

My hair fell out after 1st fec but still had to shave pits legs etc. then on tax the lot went.My hair started to grow as soon as fec finished but it was white[hubby recons this is my natural colour as ive dyed it forever]. I decieded to dye it again at about half an inch, BIG MISTAKE. used a dye from health food shop but the colour went totally wrong. I am now waiting for my mousey/gingery/khaki skull cap of a barnet to grow out, may dye it again pink or purple or red. I was most upset about eyelashes as i looked like uncle fester.Anyway now 3months after last tax eyebrows bushy[must get to salon]lashes back and unfortunatley may need the lawn mower for bikini line. kitty x
i am currently using Cargo lashactivator mascara( which advertises that it keeps lashes long and stops loss( although doesn’t mention on chemo!) , and…so far sogood on eyelashses not being lost . I have now had 3 tax. I have lost my hair after first tax. and also my eyebrows are starting to thin a little, but it may be worth trying.
