Can I have your experiences please on regrowth of hair, eyebrows and eyelashes. I had my last chemo 21st October. I know everyone is different but need a bit of faith they are going to appear !

Hi, I finished 3x fec and 3 x taxotere and rads which finished July 2013. My hair started to grow back pretty much after my last chemo which was in June 2013. By September I had enough covering to go wigless. So about 3 months I had  a very short (elfin) type do.My hair came back thicker and grey with a wave in it. I am 2 years in Feb and my hair is like a bob now still thicker than before,but I think starting to straighten out a little (boo). My eye lashes are pretty much back to as before and my eyebrows slightly thinner but not noticable. (My hair is better than before so far,would you believe!).Good luck xx
Hi Sara, I finished chemo (6x FEC) in a July 2012 and was slow to get going but when it did was thick and curly, eyelashes and eyebrows came back pretty quickly. Over 2 years since finishing treatment apart from a Tamoxifen and my hair is a lovely collar length bob and I’ve had quite a bit cut off, it’s lovely and thick with a bit of a kink, but nicer than before it fell out. xxx
Hiya Sara, Finished chemo last Oct 2013. Hair growth by Feb, was really curly but now has gone back straight but thick and better than before. Eyebrows not as good but ok.

I finished my FEC-T at the end of July 2014 and my hair is now about 2 cm long. Definitely not long enough to go without my wig yet and I have a bald patch on the crown, I am hoping it will start to grow. Not very happy about the growth and worried I may have to wear my wig for ever. My eyelashes are growing back quite well but my eyebrows not so good. I had surgery in September and finished my radiotherapy on Monday. I started taking Anastrozole in November and one of the side effects is hair thinning so I am really worried about my hair regrowth to the point that I may need to get another wig. Do hope your hair regrowth is better than mine as you say everyone is different. Good luck SML x
Hi! I had last chemo on 1st October and whilst my eyebrows are still a bit straggly, my eyelashes are back!! They’ve definitely come on leaps and bounds in the last 2 weeks and I would say that they’re longer and thicker than they were before. Every cloud… :-))

I had my sixth chemo on Monday, 3 x FEC followed by 3 x Tax. My hair started to grow in as soon as I finished the FEC and my eyebrows and lashes are also now showing signs of reappearing. I try not to wear my wig unless ingo out as I think it encourages the hair to grow if air gets at your scalp. Hope this helps xxx
