hair hi im really happy today as yesterday my daughters did my hair for me its just long enough now for a colour and my other daughter styled it and it looks fab!!! now i dont have to wear my bandanas ,my hair was very important to me before chemo and i was devastated when it went .i wept for days. sounds daftt but it was worse for me than boob loss. i lost it again after 2 course of chemo so you can tell im thrilled to have it back again so to all who are in the process of hair loss take heart it will return. now i have to buy shampoo again!! love lynn x

sorry but… Sorry to keep harping on about this but dont take for granted your hair growing back after taxatere - it DOESNT ALWAYS grow back. The chance is rare but there all the same. I am 4th woman in the world that this has happened to with this drug so in another 5 years time there will probly be another 4 or 5 women.

Glad your has returned and it must really be exciting being able to colour it again etc etc. And its a great chance to try out a styl that you might not have had before.
Dont mean to sound mean but i suppose i am not over the shock of what they told me yet and then when i keep seeing people saying it will always grown back when i know theres a chance it wont. The pharmacuticl company that make taxatere has been informed so i suppose it will now have to be included on their list of poss side effects and oncs should be warning patients.

so sorry hi didnt mean to be smug but i was just so excited about my hair that i didnt think there may be people that wont have new hair grow , did they say it would be permanant? is there any chance of it coming back at all? it must be awful for you to come to terms with. good luck for the future. love lynn x

Hi Lynn, i didnt think for one min that you sounded smug and hope you dont think thats what i thought. Its just that so many times i read on this forum where people say ‘dont worry at least you know your hair will grow back’ so just wanted to ‘spread the word’ thats not alwys the case. They have said its permantly and it will never grow back ever! yes, terrible shock although after 16 months after chemo finished i had a good idea! never mind, as long as the cancer doesnt come back .
