Hi
I am making Happy Bags to raise money for Breast Cancer research.
They are little purple organza bags tied with ribbon.
Inside they contain:
A Marble - for the days when you loose all of yours
A Piece of String - for when you can no longer hold it together
A Coin - so you will never be broke
A Teddy Bear - so you can always get a hug
A Heart - so you always know somebody loves you
An Eraser - to rub out those little mistakes and start your day over
A Silver 4 leaf clover - to wish you all the luck in the world
They have a pretty label tied to the ribbon explaining the contents.
They make lovely gifts and i am selling them at £2 each. 100% of the money goes to cancer research (the components of the bags is my contribution)

I received my bags today, they are really cute. My daughters were really impressed, each members of my staff will get one in our team meetin in July. Thank you Pixie

Hi Pixie

I have given out my first six happy bags to family & very supportive friends this week. Everyone has loved them & have immediately put them in their bags. All have been touched by them.

One friend said ‘so many nice thoughts in one tiny bag’ which sums them up perfectly.

On Wednesday I had coffee with the PR from our local Regional Cancer Research centre funded by Cancer Research UK and she said donations are significantly down this year due to the recession so every penny counts.

Happy bags are a genius idea & I recommend them to everyone. My next nine will be handed out next week as I make the most of my good week meeting friends for lunch and dinner!

Thank you ladies… they are selling so well and am raising oodles of cash. I would love every woman to be given one of these, to let her know she is special and loved and at the same time, raise enough money so we are the last generation having to fight the monster of BC.

Well done Pixie. Super idea. I had a similar thing given to me once, a couple of years ago, by a child at school. It made me smile. I’ve just sent a donation to help with your costs. x

Hi Julie ,welcome to the forum .The original post you are replying to is a few years old so I’m not sure this lady is still making the bags .Seemed like a lovely idea ,hopefully someone else is going similar if she is not .Good luck with your treatment .Jill.
