Hard mass?

Hi, I am quite worried. I discovered a lump, most likely a cyst a few weeks ago. I went to my gp who felt the lump and has referred me to the breast clinic. He only felt the lump and not the quite large hard mass in another area of my right breast, under the left side of areola My partner says it’s like a breast implant that’s solidified. It’s not hormonal, it’s not painful and there are large prominent veins. Anything to put my mind at rest would be excellent as I can’t find anything that it could be online.
Thank you.

Hi P,there could be lots of explanations re changes to your breast that are not sinister ,but GP will struggle to tell you what is going on for sure without further tests.Vast majority of referrals to the Breast clinic turn out not to be cancer.Hope all goes well for you .Jill

I’m reading so many posts on here and it’s so sad and infuriating that we all feel like we’re overreacting or wasting the nhs time by getting these lumps checked, this is our health and potentially life we’re talking about we shouldn’t be made to feel like that ?
