hi everyone, i am due to come off zoladex may 2010 but am thinking about having my last injection next week due to it making my life a complete misery. My onc said that it wouldnt really matter too much as some people only get put no tamoxifen alone. So i want to come off zoladex and just stay on tamoxifen. Has anyone done this and if so how long into treatment? X
I did 23 months instead of 24 and my oncologist agreed very readily to me not doing the final month (and it did make me wish that I’d asked earlier). Like you, mine has always made it clear that Tamoxifen is the most important I think some people may go through Zoladex with minimal side-effects but I found it very hard so have huge sympathy. I had the last injection five weeks ago and in the last week do feel as if I have a bit more energy.
