Ill try to keep this as detailed but short as i can. So i am 28 year old mum of 2 (11 months pp). Approx 2 years ago i had found a lump on my left breast and had a slight pull/dimple under the nipple, which after referral and ultrasound was diagnosed as a thickened milk duct.
I have for the past 3 weeks been experiencing slight pain and alot of discomfort on my left breast, i have felt for lumps but honestly find it hard differentiating normal breast tissue but i do think i can feel at least one lump in the region of the pain. My nipple is also slightly inverted at times. My breast isnt swollen but thats how i would describe the feeling in my breast nearly all of the time. I have also been having severe hot flushes for about a month now and they have gotten so bad that im waking in the night soaked.
I got an appt with the advanced nurse practitioner in my gp surgery today and she has ordered urgent bloods this day next week. As i had my children (5 & 11m) with me at the appt (father works long hours and the appt was last minute so i had no option but to take them) she refused to do a breast examination which i was disappointed about as i would like to have known if she can also feel the lumps.
I dont know really what i am hoping from this post but im finding it hard not to be worried at this stage especially given the previous lumps on the same breast. Any advice appreciated
