Have you ever seen anyone have a cluster of lymph nodes in the neck that hasn’t spread to other parts of the body?
Hi nikkioh
Thank you for posting.
Cancer in the lymph nodes in the neck is stage 3 or locally advanced breast cancer. This does not mean that it has spread to other parts of the body, although the risk of this occurring is higher than in stage 1 or stage 2 cancer. Treatments are tailored to reduce the risk of this happening.
It is not clear if you are asking for yourself or on behalf of someone else, but if you have questions about the risk of your cancer spreading to other parts of your body it is important to talk to your treatment team. They will be able to explain the individual risk of recurrence in your situation, which treatments are available, and may be able to answer questions about your prognosis if this is something that you would like to know.
You are welcome to call our free helpline if you would like to talk this through or have any further questions. The helpline team have time to listen, talk things through and signpost you to more support and information if necessary.
