Has anyone tried Fezolinetant (brand name Veoza)?

I am wondering if anyone has been prescribed Fezolinetant (brand name Veoza) which has recently been approved to treat hot flushes? My oncologist has asked my GP to prescribe it for me. I have been on various oestrogen blockers for approx a year and have struggled with all of them. My main symptoms are hot flushes, burning up at night, very dry and itchy skin, aches and pains.

So far Ive tried: - Pregablin which stopped the hot flushes but made me feel very drowsy (I felt ‘out of it’ when driving) and even worse when I tried to come off it; Venelafaxine - no difference; acupuncture - no change yet but may be too early to say; cold wrap that I put in the freezer - great but doesn’t stay cold for long; cooling pillow - useless; a whole range of anti allergy tablets - no difference.

I am not sure whether to try Veoza as my experience with Pregablin has made me nervous about trying another drug. However, I am desperate for a good nights sleep and am becoming anxious about being even more uncomfortable during hot summer nights.

If I could get anyone to prescribe it for me I would take it!

It was up for prescription permission in Scotland this month but was turned down as the manufacturer didn’t make a good enough case for it.

It was approved in England in March (where I am). I still can’t get it. GP says they can’t prescribe it. Hospital/BCNs say that my GP needs to prescribe it because it needs liver monitoring, but I know my GP can’t initiate it!
