Has it spread already?

i am 34 with no history of breast cancer in my family.

i found a lump under my arm and when examined they found two in my breast. I have had biopsies taken and all I know is it is definitely cancer but not the details at this stage.

but as I have a lump under my arm is this bad and means it’s definitely secondary or cancer spread? Worried about prognosis if this is the case and what the treatment is.

any experience anyone?

Sorry, I don’t have the answers to your questions.

Are you awaiting results from tests? Do you have any further test/treatment booked?

I’m sure you have nothing to worry about and hopefully someone will be along soon who has been in a similar situation.

Please stick around as this is a really supportive and helpful forum.

Best Wishes.

Hi LJSam

I know it’s really hard but try not to jump ahead with your diagnosis. I had a lump in my breast but no lump under my arm . An ultrasound did show an involvement in one of my lymph nodes. I had chemotherapy first

( 7 sessions ) and then a lumpectomy with full node clearance. 17 nodes were removed and I only had scar tissue in one of them so the chemo had done its job . I am currently having radiotherapy . Try and take each day and each lot of treatment at a time .

Hi LJSAM, I found a lump in my breast and thought I could feel something under my arm, the ultrasound showed an enlarged lymph node. After core biopsy of both I was told I needed wide local excision of lump and axillary clearance of lymph nodes which I had on 5th of April. They told me I need chemotherapy, radiotherapy then 10 yrs of hormone treatment but said they were looking at cure not just managing it so try to be positive I know it’s not easy and everything is overwhelming but you will get through this. I have had just started chemotherapy last Thursday and though not a hundred per cent I’m better than I thought. You will feel better when you know your details and your treatment plan I think the waiting is the worst. Let us know how it goes take care xxx

Hello, I am 41 with a BRCA1 gene.I also found a lump in my armpit a few weeks ago that is quite large, on insisting they look at it I had biopsies done and have been told there is also a tumour in my breast which the mammogram I had only 2 months ago missed.I get my results tomorrow but they have said it’s breast cancer over 90% sure so I too am really worried it’s spread. I will let you know how I get on.I have found this board really useful and reassuring.
Good luck x
