Hi all, I visited my oncologist yesterday after cycles 5 of fect and was discussing the next stages, after surgery and rads I was very surprised that he suggested removing my ovaries for the 5 years of medication that wil. follow (we are finished making our family).
Anyone else have/havibg this?

i was under gynae just a couple of weeks before diagnosed with bc. The consultant mentioned that I may need ovaries removed but then all put on hold whilst going throu bc treatment. I have an appointment 8 March to see what happens now. My rads start today and finish 14 March, so waiting for this outcome. My mother had ovarian cancer and my grandmother breast cancer, so I think this may be an element of decision. Meanwhile it is a waiting game but I am going to the carabean in March (a holiday originally booked for January but delayed due to diagnosis) so concentrating on getting through to that?
