Have I got IBC?

Hiya. Just wandring if someone can shed some light, on why my GP has referred me to a cancer specialist, not a breast clinic. Im wondering becuse Im in Wales, maybe that how things are done here?

Im 34year this year, have a pretty extensive family background with breast cancer, on my dads side. My dads sister, his mother and grand-mother all passed away with breast cancer in thier 40s. I was not born when his mother and grandmother passed away, however, his sister, my very dear aunt passed away 2years ago aged 47, she has cancer in her late 30s, she was cancer free for 5 years, then it returned to her bones. She was terminally ill for 3years before passing away.

About 2 weeks ago, literally over-night I woke up with what looked like a bite on my breast near my nipple. It appeared on a Sunday, I went to the GP on the following Thrusday, I was not very worried about it. GP had no clue what it was, however asked about breast cancer in family, she gave me antibiotics, and told me to return in 7 days. Returned to her last Thrusday, antibiotics never worked, and red mark is still there, she said she could not feel a lump, and I told her IBC does not have a lump, she even googled IBC infront of me, as she knew nothing about it.

Anyway, she has referred me to a cancer specialist in our local hospital. My symptoms have not changed, apart for the skin on the red bump/patch not sure what to call it has started to peel. I have little pain. However, have noticed under my armpits have started to hurt, but are not red/infected. Any advice of IBC or why I have been refered to specialist and not a clinic
