Have I left it too late

Morning all

firstly an apology as I know this post is going to ramble on but I am usually a very positive person and at the moment I am really struggling.

i have secondary breast cancer to lung and bone mets. I have been taking ribociclib and letzerol for ten months which has mainly kept everything under control. Six months ago my consultant advised a blob on the apex of my left lung ( which on original pet scan was just a shadow) was not responding to treatment and had changed appearance and had slightly increased. She said she was not that worried about it and suggested going back in three months to see if there was any change. When I went back I learnt she had gone on sabbatical and consultant I saw could not advise where we were with treatment as couldn’t look at latest ct scan and could only advise that my cancer markers had not been recorded since November and that I needed to wait for an appointment with the new interim. Three weeks ago I saw this new consultant and really got on well with him, he suggested that we finished the three weeks treatment and then he suggested I went onto xeloda. Because of Coronavirus I received a phone appointment this week unfortunately not from the new consultant as he is now stuck in Belgium, this consultant said due to current events they were keeping me on same drugs for next two months cancelling my bone wash and blood test for twelve weeks, so I can stay away from hospital. I feel totally confused and abandoned and worry what is going to happen with blob that is not responding to the treatment I am receiving. Any advice gratefully received x

Oh dear, what a muddle re Onco, tests and advice. I’m not a medical person, but just want to acknowledge your post and send a hug. I think we’re all in similar boats here. My meds, ct scan and clinic have all been postponed for 12 weeks. I’m hoping everything will be ok, but then what is the alternative? Why don’t you give the nurses here a ring, or post on the nurses section for some advice. X
