Welcome MissMessy, you made me smile this morning. I think Heather might have some competion (see Embarking on an adventure thread)
Think I need a bigger one too as I have the bedside lamp, the clock radio all my night time lotions and potions, pile of arrowword puzzles, pile of mags, water, library book, torch (for midnight reading)I keep my boob in the airing cupboard.

Hi missmissy,
brilliant tale it really made me laugh.
Carol do you ever take your boob out the airing cupboard !!
Remember when I was a little girl I used to hide under my covers with a torch and a book when I was supposed to be asleep. Nowadays it’s me telling Mary off for having her ipod under the pillow and earphones in when she should be asleep. How times change !!

i used to read with a torch under the covers. When my mum took it off me, i got my toy sewing machine which had a light on it and hid that with me under the covers so i could read. I think i read all of Mallory Towers and The Twins at St Clares with that sewing machine, until that was confiscated too!
Hi Ladies
Think we are all of an age! Anyone else have a crystal radio affixed to the night light? I also read copiously under the bed covers with a torch! Boobs or the lack thereof were the last thing on your mind.
Sorry missmessy - hijacking your thread a bit. Please stay with us!
Love

hi everybody thank you so much for your warm welcome and kind words i too love reading virginia andrews agatha christie but i am selfish i keep light on all night and eat food while reading and it is my husband under bed clothes and moaning because light hurting eyes crumbs in bed and he is sweating because of my hot sweats in the winter he was in bed under cover with hat on because ihad windows wide open lying on top of bed you could tell he was hoping somebody would climb in and take off with me so he could have a good night sleep when iwas little i used to love finger knitting in bed when lights were out.i just want to share my good news with all my new friends i found out today i am going to to have a grandson in january i have 5 lovely grandaughters it brought me tears of joy to be a nanny again. goodnght i am going now to watch big brother it drives my husband mad does anybody else watch it
hi kayh317 ilove reading too but i didnt come across sue barton they sound good it is true what you said about nurses i dont know what i would have done without mine they saw me at my worst time and good time. happy and sad times and they were always kind and supportive even when i seemed ungratful at some of the treatment they would give me for my own good i cannot thank my team enough i had my mastectomy 4 days before my birthday on my birthday i went to have my drains out my husband announced it was my birth and they gave me my new sponge breast in case i wanted to wear it i didnt i was to sore but it was a lovely kind jester that i remember and appreicated
Congrats, Missmessy, on new grandchild to be. I see no grandchildren on the horizon, son (34 yesterday) nowhere near settling down, daughter (31) living with her fella but doubt they will have kids, well never say never. hate Big Brother with a vengance.
