I was diagnosed with Her2 positive (stage 2) at 34. I just had a beautiful baby girl (she’s the reason I found the lump while breastfeeding). I already started treatment and part of the treatment is to protect my ovaries for future pregnancies. Has anyone decided to extend their families after BC? What was your experience?
Can’t give you any experience but if you look up the POSITIVE trial results on line, it may put your mind at ease over taking a break from treatment tk have a baby. Can’t remember exact figures but it found that women who have had at least two years of hormone therapy and then take a break of 3 months wash out and up to two years to get pregnant and breast feed and then resume meds didn’t have a worse relapse picture than those who don’t.
