Hi everyone, hope you are all as well as can be expected.  I’ve just had my first Fec chemotherapy and as soon as I got home had headache.  I’ve slept all night but have wakened up with it, I also have fibromyalgia.  Has anyone else experienced this? xx

I had my first chemo on Friday but T/C and did suffer a low grade headache for a couple of days . I did use the cold cap do not sure if it was due to this or the drugs . Did you use the cold cap as headaches are common after?
I was advised to take my temp and if ok to take paracetamol which controlled it well, the same with taking ibuprofen which may help with your fibromyalgia.
If your not sure ring the emergency number you’ve been given as they do expect you to contact them and are more than happy to take your concerns seriously.

I had a headache for over a week and it got worse before it went… Drink lots of water n rest when you can… Hope it soon passes for you Lambite x

Hi Lamblite I’ve just posted a new post asking if anyone has had this. I’m on my third Fec and it’s been a feature of each round for first 2-3 days. Usually eases during day. I’ve been taking ibuprofen not much effect but might help I guess. I also get red puffy face .Will be interesting to see what others say. Just to reassure you I’ve been feeling pretty good after 7-8 days and been able to carry on as normal (not working but pretty active).

I’m glad your headache/pains have gone now. I know what the exhaustion feels like! But I’m now day 9 post chemo 1 and my energy levels are back now just left with severe stomach/ indigestion problems and the most awful taste in my mouth that taints all my food even chocolate!! Not eating much at the moment as not enjoying anything x

Oh no, not the dreaded hair loss! I’m doing ok so far but only day 10. Hopefully my cold cap treatment will work for my head at least . Stomach problems eased today but now the mouth sores have set in and think I have thrush but energy levels better took the dog for a walk on the beach this morning and got caught out with the rain on the way back but certainly blew the cobwebs out.

Thanks ladies hit the advice . Will try the lollies have now got some difflan and gel from GP
