Hi, I had a one-sided mastectomy with immediate implant reconstruction in November 2017. I also had full node clearance on that side. After that I had chemotherapy and 15 days of radiotherapy, the last one in June. My reconstructed breast is still quite sore to the touch and if I put pressure on it. It is still less than a year since surgery but is it going to get better? The pain is not bad in daily life but I would like to start surfing again for which I have to lay down on a surf board and paddle deep, which would put quite a bit of pressure on my quite firm reconstructed breast (the natural one just flattens out).
