Hello! & Please wish me good luck for my 1st chemo tomorrow.

It’s good to read threads like these, I am seeing the Onc for the 1st time on Tuesday to find out my treatment plan starting in the next couple of weeks. Still deciding about cold cap too. Roll on next year is all I can say.

Good luck to all those in treatment and starting out.

Hugs to allxx

Hi hope you dont’t mind me joining this thread, i’m starting the fist of 4 x FEC and 4 X tax on tuesday hoping to shrink a 25mm tumour. I’m going to try the cold cap and have had my long hair cut to just above shoulder length in readiness. I think its the fear of the unknown and reading all the possible side effects thats starting to get to me now, so its nice to read that not everyone gets all of them.
Take care all

Michele

Hi
I had my first FEC a week ago. I felt very tired and hungover for 4 or 5 days but nothing much else. Now feeling pretty much back to normal - even venturing out for a meal this evening. And I’m not sure if its a good thing but red wine still tastes bloody lovely! YeeeeeHaaaaaa!!

Hi Sue, good to hear about the red wine, I was a bit conncerned about that, my friends had joked that maybe i should try Black Tower!Have a good evening.

Michele

OMG! Black Tower! Now that would really be a serious problem!! ROFL

Hi Sue
Great news red wine tastes great thought I was going to have to find another drink!!!

It did take a bit of perseverence…I didn’t fancy a drink at all for several days. I was starting to get worried there was something wrong with me!!

yep, all friends are worried about me at the mo… cos I am drinking the tonic minus the gin!!!

Phew… glad I will get the feeling of having a glass or two back soon lol
