Hello!

Good morning, my name is jules and I live in the south west with my husband and have two daughters 26 and my youngest almost 23. I am in the high anxiety time of waiting for results of a biopsy following mammogram, ultrasound and being told it is looking very suspicious and stress levels through the roof right now! Have my follow up appointment with consultant week on Thursday and told to bring someone with me so assuming that means they don’t think it will be good news. So stressed right now and struggling to think of anything else

Hello Purplemoon,

I live in the South West as well, in Glastonbury

I was really stressed when I first found out as well and couldn’t talk about it without crying. It’s the worst thing having to wait for test results and appointments my mind went into overdrive and When they told me to bring someone with me to the consultation my first thought was it must be bad news but after I did feel that now I know and then began mentally preparing myself for what is to come. But now I’ve had the op and a consultation I feel a bit better about it all. I still don’t know what the outcome will be though.

I was diagnosed in January and had a wide local excision and a lymph node biopsy in February and am now waiting for some other tests to determine what my treatment will be, I have been told I will have radiotherapy and endocrine treatment but the results will say whether I have chemo.

The op was ok, uncomfortable for the first couple of weeks with the wounds healing and some swelling but thankfully I wasn’t in much pain so I’m grateful for that.
I did the usual, googled, but it’s not always a good move as it’s not specific to you so I gave up on that, the breast care nurses are very good and will advise on anything and this forum has lots of information as well.

if you want to pm me please do, it’s funny but it’s the piddly little things that wound me up, like bloody bras, all being too uncomfortable and tight.

Lots of hugs to you xxx

Hi @purplemoon   -  A very warm welcome to this wonderful forum, but sorry to see you here.

There’s another side to telling you to bring someone with you, so that you have an extra pair of ears for hearing what information is being given, to take notes even.

Sorry you’re feeling so stressed, darlin’. All totally understandable. It really is a PIG waiting for results. Try and keep your mind occupied and “Up” till your appointment. Watch some good upbeat dvds and comedy progs on tv (anything to make you laugh), have a giggly night out with your girlfriends, do crosswords/puzzles etc. which you can’t do without concentrating.

Whereabouts are you in the SW?? I used to live in Bournemouth, so know Dorset very well. And Devon, it’s my most favourite county.

Let us know how you go on, wherever on the Forum. It’s a great place for support, advice, and sympathetic ears to have a good rant, moan, sob to, even a giggle

@Wendy22   - Hope all goes well for you with your treatments :crossed_fingers:

Sending lots of Love and Strength,  Delly xXx

I really hope you are well! I went through the same thing and I really understand your feelings

Able to talk if you feel like. It has helped me a lot . Still awaiting the operation but very confused !

A big hug,

Rose
