hello

hi! I’m 37 years old and last month noticed that my left breast was significantly larger than normal. I waited for a few weeks and then went to my GP a fortnight ago. He couldn’t find any lumps but agreed that it was odd so referred me to the hospital. I had an out-patients appointment last week and the nurse found a lump. She took a needle sample from it and said that she was sure that it would not be anything serious. I now have to wait 2 weeks for the results of that test. I am also waiting for a mammogram appointment which will hopefully come through soon.

My breast is quite uncomforatable although not bad enough for pain killers and I can no longer sleep on my left side. My sleep is broken because of this and my worrying.

I am playing this down to my husband as there is no point in him fretting too. I just need to vent to someone as I can’t talk to friends until I know what I’m dealing with.

Has anyone had similar symptoms?

Hi Melliea

We all understand how difficult it is to wait for results. I hope you have some good frinds and family to share your worries with. If not you can always come on here and share them.

My symptoms were not like yours, everyone is different. Remember that frequently thses things turn out to be benign. I know that does not stop us worrying.

I hope you get some good sleep and good luck with your results.
