Hi All, I have just had my 3rd FEC on 27th sept and am due to start 3 x TAX on the 18th of oct.I hope this does not make me sound vain and shallow but after loosing a breast, my hair, i really thought that nothing else could possibly be as bad, at just 50yrs old i have tried to look after my skin cleansed and stayed out of the sun etc, only to have it zapped now.Has anyone else experienced a change in thier complextion and if so is it permanant.I feel in just 9 weeks i have aged facially 10yrs and it’s really getting me down i can hide the hair under a wig and and the missing breast witha prothesis but i can’t hide my face and it is really knocking what little confidence i had left for six. Please don’t think i’m just being vain but if anyone has had a similar experience and can offer any help and advice i would so love to hear from you.
sorry clicked before i signed off

Hiya Sally
57 was a good year and know exactly how you feel. I’ve just finished 4 x AC then 4 x Tax and must say that my face has been a whole lot better on the tax - hoping its just not the “steriod glow”. I’m sure that once we can have half decent eyebrows and eyelashes and hair again (yes) and able to put on the old fake tan things will start to look up.
Hang in there, and good luck with the Tax - it’s certainly doable.
Cheers
Anne
Hi Sally,
Ive just come to the end of my treatment, i also had 3 x FEC and 3 x TAX followed by 20 RADS. Hang in there you’re doing great! Don’t put yourself down for worrying about your looks-I felt exactly the same! Although i’m only 39 my skin started to feel really dry-i’d always had quite oily skin before. I can highly recommend a moisturiser from Boots called Eucerin Lipo Balance, it certainly made a difference to me so give it a try! I also switched my foundation to an anti-ageing one from L’Oreal-the Age Re-perfect one-good luck for the rest of your treatment,
Take care
Tracy xx
