Five days post wle and lymph remove and the steri strips under my arm are going to come off
Is this going to be ok
I’m sure they are only in place now by dry blood

I seem to remember on my 1st BC and lumpectomy steristrips fell off fairly quickly after. They certainly never made it to the first check at the hospital. If the edges have knitted together I’m sure it’ll be fine.
This time round I can’t remember how long I had the steristrips after my mastectomy but it wasn’t that long as I went back to work after just over 2 weeks and I was completely healed with no steristrips of dressings left by then. I think they went after about a week when the drains were removed.
If you’re concerned you can always give the unit where you had your op a call. They should have given you a number to call for emergencies (not that it probably is one but it’ll help to get some reassurance )

They are nearly completely of in the middle and kind of hanging on at the ends
I’m more concerned that like this they will trap dirt and moisture underneath
I will see how it looks tomo ow and if they are of they are off
I will just have to keep closer eye out on that area x
