HER2+ and need some buddies

@hasnae87 will that be before your next chemo ?

@arty1 thinking of you. Hope all goes well at the breast clinic and it’s nothing to worry about.:crossed_fingers:t2:

I’m 7 months post Herceptin and have had several SVT episodes, the worst was on our way back from holiday and just stopped off at the services. The fast heart rate started as I walked into the toilets and continued for nearly 10 minutes. I had been told if the vasovagul movements didn’t stop the episode after 10 minutes, I would have to go to A&E or call an ambulance to get heart rate reset. Luckily it was just under. I was able to record the episodes on my Kardia device so I can show my cardiologist. No matter how long you have this, it doesn’t get any easier. It always very scary when it happens.

@arty1 thank you for responding, it does help to know its not just you. I’m on edoxaban 60mg and bisoprolol 2.5mg, but the palpitations didn’t stop so had phone consult with GP and agreed to upping bisoprolol to 1 twice a day. That has helped, had chemo yesterday and got through it (2nd) and they decided to check my picc line via chest xray in case it was too long and causing the problem, it wasn’t so thats one answer! Such a long day, in at 7.45am home at 5.15pm really struggled with cold cap toošŸ˜’ sorry to moan xx

@arty1 read your last sentence and swore on your behalf. Hope all proves to be ok, but you didn’t need that worry.

@sassy3 you’ve every right to moan … it’s all so exhausting isn’t it :disappointed: Interesting when mum was having her chemo she refused a pic line as she said she’d looked into it and it can cause arrhythmia… so I refused it too so definitely worth checking it’s not the line causing issues x

I’ve been examined , definitely a lump… just waiting to go in for my mammogram , feel a bit sick now as I’m thinking I might get a new primary cancer diagnosis :cold_sweat:

Ive just been catching up on all of your posts @arty1 hope lump is nothing to worry about think positive thoughts. Yesterday after being diagnosed last August and after 5 months of chemo 2 surgeries and 15 radiotherapy treatments i rang the bell :bell: at Beatsons cancer hospital Glasgow . Still have 11 kadcyla to go but i am feeling good and positive. Hubby and i are going away for 5 days on a Haven site at end of month to relax and get away from hospital appointments . We will also celebrate our Ruby wedding at end of June which i thought we wouldnt do life is good x

Oh no @arty1, PLEASE don’t let it be that. I have everything so crossed for you right now, that I will fall over if I stand up. I’m just praying that it couldn’t have grown so fast as that and they tell you it’s some kind of cyst. This is too crap for you to have to go through again when you are only just finishing treatment. Please let us know what they say. You are our cherished Arty.

@naughty_boob - Sorry to hear about your aunt. It brings it home to you once more how precious time is and how we must make the most of it. Tell people you love them, see friends that you haven’t seen but want to, visit places you’ve always wanted to see. I certainly feel this way.

@hasnae87 Thank goodness you are home and what a rough time you’re having. Your body doesn’t like chemo, that’s for sure. I think it’s good to share as this is a reminder that for every person that sails through chemo, there will be another who has a bad time of it. This way we get a balanced perspective. Try to rest up now.

Dad was good yesterday and managed to remember that Mum needed her eye test done so didn’t keep asking. It was a good day. Mum seemed exhausted but visibly lifted from having been able to go on a solo shopping trip. Thanks everyone, for asking. This forum is full of care and compassion.

@carrie5 If it was up to me, the camper van would be bright yellow and covered with gaudy flower prints with sparkly centres. Unfortunately my husband is having none of it! The best I can get out of him is to have bunting strung up around the inside!
Posh boobs looking better by the day.

@sassy - Big hug to you. That’s a horrible long day, a load of added stress and you have my total empathy with the cold cap. I struggled with it too. Don’t ever apologise for moaning. This is a safe space where you can let it all out. It seems there is always somebody who understands and has/had a similar experience which helps. Also good information on the picc line. Thanks for that. I hope you can rest today.

@caz591 - Hooray on reaching one helluva a milestone and ringing that bell!! :bell::partying_face: Have a wonderful break with your husband and I bet you will enjoy that Ruby Wedding Anniversary more than ever. Really great news.

The hairdresser has just cancelled on me with a flat tyre. I’m wondering if it has anything to do with the fact that I just sent her a photo of the state of my barnet and she realised it was beyond help!

It’s a CYST !! A harmless fatty CYST !!

I literally cried tears of relief !!
I had my mammogram then went in for the scan and they got the consultant radiographer in … at which point my heart sank and I said ā€œoh please don’t tell me it’s cancer again ā€œ
He said … I’m not seeing anything scary apart from fatty cyst … a cyst … I promptly burst into tears like an absolute baby . I felt so relieved … The nurse went and fetched me a cup of tea … but that’s it . I went in to see the nurse practioner who knew me from my existing diagnosis anyway and she said I wouldn’t need my follow up mammogram now in September which was good . I’ve driven straight home … made a strong coffee and cuddled one of the cats ! X

Probably the only time that being fat(ty) is a good thing. Unless you were growing up in the 80s/90s when phat was something you wanted to be! So relieved for @arty1
