My her2 came back inconclusive (2) so they are doing a fish test. It was sent to the lab on 16th October and was meant to be back within 10 days but they haven’t received it yet. They have escalated it with the lab but it is holding up my treatment, I am meant to start chemo next week but they won’t do anything till this result is back
Anyone waited a while for this test? (It’s been done privately, not NHS)

Hi Kitty3
It took a while for my results to come back as well, and they also held back on the treatment, (apparently mine went to America for testing). My Oncologist explained to me that they need to know if I was definitely HER2 or none HER2 as the treatment they do is different and less aggressive if you are not HER2.

Thanks, glad to know it’s not just me lol
I am hoping they might get it at the beginning of the week but I guess I just need to be patient. So hard ……
Hi, I also got a borderline result. It took 3-4 weeks on the NHS. But in my case, we decided not to wait and to go through the lumpectomy before chemotherapy. I know however, this is not the protocol. The result came back HER2-
