Hi, I am on herceptin , getting three treatments also taking letrozo le. I am unsure if I will be having surgery afterw ards. Feeling a bit down but coping.
Hello Biker,
I hope you have managed to continue with your bike rides as mentioned on one of your other posts. I also hope you are feeling better about things now treatment has started. It’s all such a nightmare isn’t it? It’s normal to feel down at times as far as I am concerned.
Your treatment sounds quite individual. What makes you unsure about having surgery afterwards. Is that something that the medics have indicated or a decision of yours? Not that you have to answer of course.
Wishing you well ?, regards ? x
Hello again Biker,
Yes it can all get a bit confusing. If it would help to be clear about your treatment then contact a breast care nurse/your Oncology dept and say you want to be clear about your treatment plans.
I was her2 positive as well as hormone positive just like yoursellf. (I am assum. Ing you are hormone positive as you are on letrozole.). I had chemo first before surgery which included some herceptin.
I have had a few meltdowns since diagnosis. No doubt I will continue to do so. Usually feel better afterwards. Hope you have someone/family to support you.
Best wishes ? x
Hello again,
Very glad that you are feeling more positive today. You will have good dayscand not so good days. No wonder the advice is to try take it one step at a time as it can be so easy to feel overwhelned. Hope the positivity keeps with you. ? X
Hi Biker, i think both Herceptin and Letrozolecan cause anxiety and low moods. Speak to your BCN about it and see if they can help xx
